R is for Redemption

Re·demp·tion
(noun)
1. The act of redeeming or the condition of having been redeemed.
2. Recovery of something pawned or mortgaged.
3. The payment of an obligation, as a government's payment of the value of its bonds.
4. Deliverance upon payment of ransom; rescue.
5. Christianity Salvation from sin through Jesus's sacrifice.

I like #5! Jesus didn't make a small sacrifice He sacrifced His life by going to the cross. Sometimes I am in awe when I think about how much He loves us.

"We are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,"

I am certain that Jesus loves us, but actually the Son came to die as a result of His love for His Father. The Father loved us and the mission of the Son as a sacrifice was the consequence of the Father's love.

What great love the Father had for us to give us His only, unique Son.

What great love the Son had for us to lay down His life for us when we were so unlovely, without merit, and hostile to His Father.

What a miracle redemption is! Great use of the letter R! thank you.

Isn't is great how God uses us to speak to each other even though we have no clue we might be doing it? How rich we are in God's grace. Thanks for visiting me...come back soon:-)

Beautiful graphic, reassuring promise. As I see more of God's redeemed through the blogs, the more I see how wide and high and deep is His love to accommodate all of us!
