Strawberry Festival

There was a Strawberry Festival around the corner from us tonight,  we took a short walk over to check it out!
Tell me- When you think of a Strawberry Festival- what do you think of?
Personally, I think. . . lots of fresh strawberries . . .maybe some kids games. . . lots of treats made from strawberries . . . maybe some entertainment???
Well this festival was in a tiny basement  & I'm pretty sure we were the only people under 80. When we first walked in everyone was staring at us like we had 10 heads. I think it was more of a church function- but they extended an invite out to our community . . . & we were the only strangers to come? Just a guess?  I paid $8 for us to get in & they gave me a styrofoam bowl with a square of vanilla ice cream with a scoop of frozen strawberries of top. That was it? Seriously, that was the festival!
Even though it wasn’t what I was expecting . . . I peeked around at all the other people & they looked like they were having such a fun time. . . it was sweet! While I was sitting there mad that Strawberry Shortcake wasn’t making an appearance I realized . . .maybe frozen strawberries weren’t so bad . . .

AND in case you were wondering-Charlie & Mosby are back and doing AWESOME- they have cute little shaved bottoms! We spent the morning making sure they were comfortable. Then it was off to school and work. I had a busy day, I am extremely thankful for my job. I truly do have so much fun while I am working!!!! I smiled & laughed a LOT today . . . & when I saw Josh he asked me what the line on the side of my face was . . . it was my smile line! I’m not sure if that is good or bad ? Maybe its time to look into botox-kidding ;)

How cute! I guess they weren't really there for the strawberries! Even when things are a 'disappointment,' it tempers it to see other people enjoying themselves. :)

Ah well, just another experience for Josh. He got to be with his mama and I'm sure that's the main thing to him.

That line about your line is priceless! :O)

Have a great day Stacey!

I just found out that a farm that we usually go every season has a Strawberry festival. Here is the address: Johnson's Farm Corner 133 Church Road Medford , NJ 08055. It's about 25 minutes from my house here in Philly. The days are: May 29-30 and June 5-6 at 4pm to 8pm. We love that farm is really family oriented. You can go to ther website and get more info. We are planning to go on June 5th.

Glad the kitties are doing fine. :)

The church we belong to is an older church too, and sometimes their idea of fun isn't quite the same as ours, but they do have a good time with everything they do!

Sounds closer to an Ice Cream Social than a festival. Doesn't sound very festive at all.
