Good Morning

Hello it is 5:30 in the morning here & I can not sleep. I think it is because I filled in for someone at work yesterday- & it turned out to be a very busy day. Then I came home & played with Josh - who takes a ton of energy out of me- all worth it of course:)We went to bed so early last night.
Now here I am wide awake? Just thinking about the millions of things to get done today. It has been crazy around here the last few days. I am on a HUGE cleaning/orangizing/de-cluttering process. I also rearranged most of our furniture:)
I'm just about done & it feels so good. I  have boxes of things that either need to be donated- or listed. I have some of Josh's old things to stick on ebay- books for amazon & even some furniture for craigslist . . . as well as a shop update to do later this evening!
Okay enough rambling its shower time- Josh is singing in church this morning! Plus I have two boys waiting for their breakfast . . .
I'll be back later with my weekly treasures!

Fable of the Porcupine

I went to a Bible study back in October with my sister & they passed this sweet little story around. In case you haven't heard it I thought I would share . . .
It was the coldest winter ever. - Many animals died because of the cold. The porcupines, realizing the situation, decided to group together to keep warm. This way they covered and protected themselves; but the quills of each one wounded their closest companions. After awhile, they decided to distance themselves one from the other and they began to die, alone and frozen. So they had to make a choice: either accept the quills of their companions or disappear from the Earth. Wisely, they decided to go back to being together. They learned to live with the little wounds caused by the close relationship with their companions in order to receive the heat that came from the others. This way they were able to survive.
Moral of the story: The best relationship is not the one that brings together perfect people, but when each individual learns to live with the imperfections of others and can admire the other person's good qualities.
I want one:)

For some reason . . .

I find it funny when someone sneaks into the background of a picture??? Or if I'm watching the news & the reporter is in a public area &  someone behind them is parading around doing something silly  . . .just to get on TV!  If anyone ever watched the show 'In Living Color'- about 20 years ago- Jim Carrey did a skit and it was SO funny . . .

Well, I was at the park with a friend, this is here sweet lil' girl Evelyn . . .
I wanted to take a picture of Josh & her real quick before we left.
Now see the little boy in the background . . . I have no idea who he is . . .he wasn't even around until I went to take Josh & Evelyn's picture???

Strawberry Fields Forever

The other day we went to a local Orchard (Ris ~this is what Linvilla is!)~ it is such a fun place for kids! They have a duck pond, animals you can feed, a huge playground, a fishing pond & all kinds of different fruits you can hand pick!

They drive you out to the Strawberries on a hayride!

& they drop you off in a field which feels like the middle of nowhere . . . there was only one other family around . I was kind of scared (I watched Children of the Corn one to many times growing up) We searched for nice
beautiful strawberries~ we had a fun time:)

Hair today~Gone tomorrow!

Happy Belated 4th of July! I hope everyone had an awesome holiday weekend!
I have been extremely busy preparing for our church's Vacation Bible School this week!!!
I am soo excited, I will be sharing everything we do all week!!!

I did something rather dramatic yesterday . . .
I love my hair but It was getting so long & nasty. It felt so ~BLA~ lately.

I was starting to feel Like Cousin IT.

I NEEDED it done Desperately ~My sister had mentioned Gwyneth Paltrow's new do'!

I LOVE her hair!
SOOOOOO, I chopped mine off . . . 10 inches!!!!

It will be mailed off tomorrow to Locks of Love!

It made it so much easier to know that it is going to an awesome cause. Rather then knowing that years of growing was swept up in a hair pile and thrown carelessly into the trash. It feels so strange to have short hair again. I really do love it~ according to my cute 20 year old hair dresser it is much more “Age Appropriate” on me :)

~Busy Bee~

Josh finished up his week of Vacation Bible School at his Grandmothers church. It was a Beach Party theme, each day they had a new 'Surfin' Scripture' & a 'Beach Be-Attitude' (ex~'Believe' or 'Be Bold') Everyday they had a 'Color of the day'.

They made lots of cute crafts, one was a Prayer Pail. This was a little bucket of sand with Popsicle sticks inside with different names of the people that the child wants to pray for written on them. Josh picked Mommy, Daddy, Mom-mom & Tigger (our cat~ we won't tell Poppie about this one ;) They also each got a shirt to paint~ which they wore on Parents night. They all went up together and sang a few songs. I was really proud of Josh , he sang his little heart out!!!!

Saturday night we went to a 2nd birthday party for a little girl at church~ Cheyenne!!! She holds a very special place in my heart. I love her dearly & her family.

Church was crowded this morning, our Pastor's 4 children were all in town! They are all serving the Lord, three are in different parts of the United States(Texas, New York & New Jersey)!!!Plus 12 grandchildren! It was an amazing message! (I will share more tomorrow)
After church, we had a graduation party to go to!
Josh made a new friend named Cameron Grace.
They were both very shy at first but soon became quick friends .

After we got some ice cream then met some friends to watch local fireworks. When the first firework went off~ Josh went CRAZY~ HE WAS SOOO SCARED????? Josh jumped out of his skin & cried sooo hard, he told me he wanted to go home & he never wanted to come back???!!!??? The last 3 years he saw fireworks, and he was fine, I don't know why he is all the sudden so scared : (
So we went home!
