Puppy Dog Tales . . .

I had a a fun Night Out On the Town on Saturday! These are some picture of the 'artsy' little town we live in! This is the main street with brick sidewalks & the cutest little stores.

Our first stop was the Ice Cream shop where we had . . .

Our second stop was a little toy store were Josh had so much fun it was hard to get him to leave! I told him he could pick out something and of all things he picked out a Dinosaur Egg that was only $1.50! Don't you just totally love that . . he could have picked out the way over priced Lego Set ~BUT NOPE ~ he picked out the $1.50 Dinosaur Egg~ Praise the Lord . . I am raising a bargain hunter!

I had a really great night with my main man Josh!
In a couple of weeks he is going to be 4! I just can NOT believe it . . . I want to keep him this little boy that thinks its cool to hang out with his mom on a Saturday night forever. I can already feel my coolness drifting away . . .when he eagerly asks me everyday

“What are we doing today? Who is going to be there?”

He isn't happy with me entertaining him anymore . . . he wants his buddies, his cousin, & even his mom-mom over me :( Which is completely normal . . . but at the same time completely devastating. How am I ever going to handle the whole going away to college thing???I don't want him to ever leave me but at the same time I don't want him to grow up to be that 32 year old man that lives at home and I still do his laundry for him and every girl he dates thinks its weird that we have Jenga tournaments on Friday nights?!?
~ On second thought maybe I do???

To all the Mommas with Lil' boys,
Here is a song I love . . .
Godspeed
Dragon tales and the "water is wide"
Pirate's sail and lost boys fly
Fish bite moonbeams every night
And I love you
Godspeed, little man
Sweet dreams, little man
Oh my love will fly to you each night on angels wings
Godspeed
Sweet dreams
The rocket racer's all tuckered out
Superman's in pajamas on the couch
Goodnight moon, we'll find the mouse
And I love you
Godspeed, little man
Sweet dreams, little man
Oh my love will fly to you each night on angels wings
Godspeed
Sweet dreams
God bless mommy and match box cars
God bless dad and thanks for the stars
God heard "amen," wherever you are
And I love you
Godspeed, little man
Sweet dreams, little man
Oh my love will fly to you each night on angels wings
Godspeed
Sweet dreams

Your son is so cute! I can totally relate to not wanting him to grow up:) Your town looks so fun! I love rootbeer floats!

Sigh. I know what you mean. I also don't want to be the mom who makes his future wife cringe. It's hard to see that point now, since we are their whole world right now! Let's just hope their future wives like us enough to do family game night with us on occasion! ;-)

TOO CUTE that Josh picked something so inexpensive. THe cool thing is, he really liked it. How cute is that! Looks like a very fun day together...esp the root beer float part! I miss living in a cool town like that. (I grew up in one)

Ha! How cute is it that he totally picked such an inexpensive toy as his new special treasure. Kids are so great that way. No concept of money, no materialistic tendencies. I love it :)
What a fun day out!

Our boys are the same age so I know how you feel. I love hanging out with Bubbs and am not looking forward to the day he says, no he wants to spend time with someone else

Yes, it happens. They grow up into the most amazing people. Our oldest leaves for college in three weeks. Where did the time go....?

PTL always

I love that song too! I know what you mean about our little boys growing up. My oldest boy is 24 and my youngest is 12. You still have a lot of years left of having your special times with your son.
