50 cents

I bought this at a thrift shop for 50 cents! It was dirty and in need of some serious love.
I took it apart
 cleaned it
added some fresh paint. . .
Much better
Josh had his very first piano lesson today  . . .
He was so excited- Josh was born with a love for music. He started in the Children's Choir last fall, but it breaks for the summer. During the summer he will be taking piano lessons from the same teacher - Ms. Sarah (she is awesome- but serious business when it comes to music!) Josh will also be attending Music Camp for a week in July.
I haven't been on the computer as much the last couple of days. Josh got 'Super Mario Bros'  as a graduation present - it is HIGHLY addictive! I do not normally play video games- there is just something about that Mario?!? I have been a total blog slacker, I'm very sorry.  I can't wait to see what everyone has been doing this week:)

You find such good bargains! Yay for piano lessons! We are starting Kaylee on the kazoo--she is 1. But she loves music. When we have the band concert at school I think how cute it will be to someday, maybe watch her up on stage.

It's amazing what you can find at thrift shops - I;m afraid we're all thrifted out. IN fact we should be sifting through some of our stuff and giving it to the local thrifts shops. Your son looks like a natural at the keyboard.

Hi! I was trying to find a "contact me" button, but couldn't...so I'll leave my hello here!
I am stopping over after seeing that Robin from Partialemptynester gave you an award. I love Robin and she has been such an encouragement to me!
I decided to stop by and within seconds say your blog roll titled "that's what she said" and I knew I had found a new blog to follow :)
Adorable son by the way, and I look forward to reading your blog some more! Stop on over sometime!

We're Mario junkies too. I think it's because it reminds me of playing when I was a kid. Ah memories . . .

I wonder if either of my kids will want piano lessons. I was dying for them all through my childhood and finally got the opportunity when I was 12. I played for a long time and then dropped off in college. Wish I still played though.

How exciting for Josh!
